Lungomare is winding road from the town’s bathing resort Valkane all the way to Gortan’s bay and further to Valsalino is an unavoidable promenade for many residents of Pula. Implanted in a thick pine forest (Pinus halepensis) on one side, and a natural rocky sea shore on the other side. The sight of the setting sun over the slightly rippled sea is a unique experience that remains in the memory to meet again.
1. Valkane
Known as a town beach, Valkane is situated on the beginning of Lungomare coastal promenade. The beach is partly pebble, partially concrete and is suitable for families with children. Beach facilities include showers, changing cabins and toilets as well as sport center where you can rent pedal boats and equipment for tennis, beach volleyball and other sports. There are two bars on the beach.Beach Valkane was awarded with the Blue Flag, a recognition for extremely clean sea and beaches.
Near the beach there is a bus stop with direct link to the city.

2. Gortan Bay
One of the most popular beaches on the Lungomare coastal promenade, Gortan Bay Beach is situated in a small bay. This pebble beach is suitable for families with children thanks to the gentle entrance to the sea, but also for those who love adrenaline challenges since the beach is in a cove surrounded by a rocky shore that is ideal for sea jumps. The beach bar is above the beach.
This beach is also very popular with the younger generation since it is enlightened and ideal for nighttime bathing.

3. Lungo mare
The southern road from the town’s bathing resort Valkane all the way to Gortanov uvala and further to Valsalino is a must-see promenade. The dense pine forest (Pinus halepensis) on one side and the natural rocky sea coast on the other side provide real refreshment.

1. Ambrela
The rocky/pebble beach Ambrela is located at the entrance of the Verudela tourist area, between Saccorgiana Beach and Hotel Brioni. This beach is very popular for families with children thanks to the easy access to the sea.

The Rescue Service takes care of the safety of the swimmers from 11am to 7pm.

One of the most popular and most visited beaches in Pula is pebble beach Saccorgiana. Saccorgiana Beach is located between Golden Rocks and Ambrela Beach. Thanks to its position, the sea is very calm even during Bura and Jugo wind. This beach is very popular among local population, as well as for families with children and young people.
